Russia's imports of stainless steel products in 2016 increase by 27.8 percent compared to 2015
According to Russia-based SpectsStal Association, In December 2016 Russia’s flat rolled stainless steel imports decreased by 4 percent, while it’s stainless steel seamless pipes imports increased by 157.2 percent, electric welded stainless steel pipes imports went up by 13.1 percent. Overall, Russia’s imports of stainless steel products exceeded 300,000 metric tons, increasing by 27.8 percent compared to year 2015. It is said that the decline in external market prices allowed Russian importers to increase the volume of stainless steel imports in 2016.
